  Various inbred and congenic strains were tested for antigens of the B2m, H3 region of Chromosome 2. The existance of an antigen-defining locus, H42, in the B2m - H3 region was indicated. A gene order of B2m - H3 - H42 was suggested. Congenic strain B10.FS-a inherited B2m and H3 from C57BL/10 whereas H42 was derived from FS, thus B2m and H3 are centromeric to H42.
