  Forty-three animals from the European Collaborative Interspecific Backcross panel, (C57BL/6 x M. spretus)F1 x C57BL/6 and (C57BL/6 x M. spretus)F1 x M. spretus, were used to map Nf2. The results indicated that Nf2 maps to the proximal region of Chromosome 11 based on tight linkage with D11Mit16.
