Notes

Restriction landmark genomic scanning (RLGS) is a method used to identify genes that are imprinted. Methylated genes are identified by audoradiographic intensity of spots in RLGS profile. One such spot, CD(B)461 was linked on Chromosome 11 to Glns-ps1 using BXD RI lines. Sequence analysis of a cDNA clone for CD(B)461 shows homology with a human U2AF1 splicing factor. Based on this homology the locus for spot CD(B)461 is identified as U2af1-rs1.
