Dnd1 visible phenotype
D18Mit14 PCR amplified length variant
Notes
  • Experiment
Authors tyed DNA pools to establish a relationship between linked markers using the theory if a marker is linked to a mutant allele it should be preferentially represented in the extreme phenotype pool. In an intercross of (MOLF/Ei x 129-Ter/+)F1 x (MOLF/Ei x 129-Ter/+)F1, Pool A carried presumed homozygous Ter/Ter and when typed for SSLPs, it showed the 129 derived allele for D18Mit14. Pool B carried presumed +/+ DNA and when typed for D18Mit14 it carried the MOLF/Ei allele.
