Ahcy Southern analysis pDEC20-1
Notes
  • Experiment
Using Southern analysis with a contig built around the agouti locus, the authors were able to state the Ahcy gene (contained on a 20kb region) lay 6kb distal to the 3'end of the agouti coding region. The ax mutation is a 100kb deletion which completelyremoves the Ahcy gene that codes for the S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase enzyme.
