  • Experiment
    F2 mice derived from (O20/A X OcB9/Dem)F1 were used in the QTL mapping experiments. The proliferation of lymphocytes of strain OcB-9/Dem in mixed lymphocyte cultures is higher than O20/A indicating OcB9/Dem has a higher potential to respond to alloantigens then does O20/A. The authors indentified four QTL loci that influence the aforementioned difference in proliferation. Two loci have individual effects, Cypr4 (38.5 cM) which is linked to D6Mit31 (p <.007177)and Cypr5 (61.4 cM) which is linked to D6Mit52 (p <.000257). The other two loci Cypr6(66.0 cM) and Cypr7(10.0 cM) which map to D4Mit54 and D8Mit3 respectively interact with each other.
