• Experiment
  The clone M34, containing mouse genomic sequences, showed hybridization in XY and XYSxr males. The M34 sequences were absent from the sex-determining region of the Y Chromosome, and there was no hybridization signal in females. Since the sequences were absent in females they are also absent in the pseudoautosomal region which is involved in crossing over between the X and Y Chromosomes. M34 sequences are male-specific and mouse-specific.
