  • Experiment
Using Southern analysis, the hybridization of Jarid1d probe pcMY12 to DNA from male C57BL/6J and Sxra mice was observed. This same probe failed to hybridize to DNA from female C57BL/6J and Sxrb mice. Probe pcMY12 is derived from sequences 75kb distalto Ube1y1 on the short arm of the Y Chromosome. This result indicates that Jarid1d maps to the short arm of the Y Chromosome within the Sxra region. The Jarid1d locus maps within deletion interval 2 of Sxrb.
