Notes
  • Reference
The authors use Bmp-2a, Plcb-1 and Nec-2 for Bmp2, Plcb and Pcsk2 respectively. This study identifies two genes, Plcb and Snap, that may be considered candidate genes for Cm.
  • Experiment
Additional markers were mapped to delineate the boundaries of the Cm deletion. The most proximal loci detected within the deletion, D2Mit19 and D2Mit46 have been mapped within about 1.1 cM from D2Mit28, the simple sequence repeat (SSR) within the 3' untranslated region of Snap. Other SSRs mapped to this location, D2Nds3, D2Mit70, D2Mit77, D2Mit106 and D2Mit107, are not included in the deleted region, suggesting that the proximal deletion breakpoint occurs in a small region between the SSR loci D2Nds3, D2Mit70,D2Mit77, D2Mit106, D2Mit107, D2Mit19 and D2Mit46. The distal breakpoint of the Cm deletion between D2Mit28-D2MIt136 and the intact D2Mit108, D2Mit21 loci indicate the maximum size of the deletion is 2.2 cM.
