  • Experiment
    The positions of 13 microsatellites were refined on the mouse X Chromosome between Cf9 and Dmd using two backcrosses and YACs. The order of these microsatellites from proximal to distal were determined to be DXMit110 - DXMit46 - DXMit120 - DXMit25 - DXMit94 - DXMit119 - DXMit59 - DXMit43 - DXMit44 - DXMit45 - DXMit60 - DXMit77 - DXMit61. Physical mapping using YACs indicated that DXMit119was just proximal to Gabra3. DXMit59 was found on two overlapping YACs containing L1cam and DXMit61 was found on a YACcontaining Dmd. A representative panel of haplotypes for 31 (B6CBA-Aw-J/A-Bpa)F1 x M. spretus and 12 (C3H x 101)F1 x M. castaneus recombinant progeny within Cf8 and Dmd were provided.
