  A previously defined set of mouse x Chinese hamster somatic cell hybrids were analyzed by Southern hybridization and Junb and Jund1 were localized to Chromosome 8 with zero and 50% discordance respectively. The authors determined that the Jund1 discordance was caused by a hybrid that failed to produce the expected mouse band but contained Chromosome 8 at a very low frequency.
