  Through sequence analysis of a cosmid clone, cosB, the authors were able to localize the Evx2 ATG initiation codon to 8kb upstream of the Hoxd13 initiation codon, in an inverted orientation. These results clarify a previous publication (J1078, Bastian H.et al., 1992. Mamm Genome 3 (4):241-243) which placed Evx2 10kb upstream of Hoxd13.
