  PFGE analysis of W^sh/W^sh and +/+ DNA was used to physically map the receptor tyrosine kinase genes Pdgfra, Kit and Flk1 on mouse Chromosome 5. Restriction enzymes NotI, NorI and NruI were used in establishing an order of Pdgfra - Kit - Flk1 , with Pdgfra approximately 1800-500kb 5' of Kit and Flk1 approximately 400kb 3' of Kit.
