Notes
  • Experiment
A diabetes susceptibility gene (Idd11) was indicated as mapping to distal Chromosome 4 in 30 nondiabetic homozygous H2g7 backcross female mice derived from a NOD/Lt x (C57BL/6J x NOD/Lt)F1 mating. Idd11 most likely resides between D4Mit13 and D4Mit72. Authors also analyzed an incipient NOD/Nhe-1 congenic line and suggest that Chromosome 4 gene Slc9a1 may be a candidate for Idd11. The previous symbol for Slc9a1 was Nhe1.
