  One or both of the following interspecific backcrosses were used to map Dis2: (NFS/N or C58/J x M. m. musculus)F1 x M. m. musculus and (NFS/N x M. spretus)F1 x M. spretus or C58/J. The authors identified recombinants between Dis2 and Evi2, Erbb2 and Wnt3,and indicated that Dis2 is proximal to Hoxb, Ngfr, Thra and Csfg. Specifically, the authors state that Dis2 is about 9 cM proximal to Hoxb.
