Notes
  • Experiment
The somatic cell hybrid 7B31a-TG2b-2 was constructed from a mouse cell line, CAK-B3, and a Chinese hamster cell line, CHO-K1. This hybrid, which carries a mouse Rb(3.14) chromosome, was treated with gamma irradiation (from 500 to 2000 rad) to induce chromosomal rearrangements. In a total of 172 irradiated cell lines, 36 were observed to lose Chr. 14 markers. Expression of one of these genes, Adk, was correlated with the observed rearrangements of Chromosome 14 to indicate that it is located within bands A2-B.
