  The WL10S fragment from cosmid 2.1 was used to isolate WL623 cDNA. Hybridization of WL623 to cosmid clones demonstrated that the 5' end of Rdbp was carried on the C4-containing clone W794. and the 3' end was carried on the H2-Bf - containing clone WBf7. These data locate Rdbp between the Bf and C4 genes on Chromosome 17. It was also shown that its transcription orientation is opposite to that of H2-Bf and C4.
