Notes
  • Experiment
Somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of Chinese hamster cell line 380-6 with either mouse peritoneal macrophage cells from ICR female mice (n = 10) or cells from male mice homozygous for translocation Rb(16.17)7Bnr (n = 12). The 22 primary hybrid clonesshown in this paper to concordantly segregate Sod-1 and Ifrc were mapped to Chromosome 16. In Rb7 hybrids, Glo-1 segregated with Sod-1 and Ifrc in all but one line suggesting their localization on Chromosome 16 or 17. Glo-1 did not segregate with these loci in the ICR primary clones. Karyotyping of 4 informative ICR hybrids confirmed that Chromosome 16 was the only mouse chromosome concordant with Sod-1 and Ifrc.
