Notes
  • Experiment
The probes Gabrb1 cDNA, Tec cDNA, and D5Mnl25 probe1 were sequentially hybridized to C57BL/6J genomic DNA isolated from splenocytes and digested with BssHI, MluI, NotI and several combinations of these enzymes. Analysis of the hybridization patterns and the comparison of fragment sizes allowed the authors to determine that Gabrb1, Tec, and D5Mnl25 are contained on a common 1.8 Mb NotI fragment, while the three probes detected unique BssHI fragments. The detection of a common 1.6 MluI fragment by Tec cDNA and Gabrb1 cDNA indicated that the physical linkage of these loci on mouse chromosome 5 is Gabrb1-Tec-D5Mnl25.
