  An expressed 4.5kb genomic fragment was isolated from a clone located approximately 300kb distal from Xist. The expressed fragment was used to isolate a full length cDNA Nap1l2. Nap1l2 maps with the X-inactivation region on the mouse X Chromosome and was located on the distal arm of YAC PA-2.
