Notes
  • Reference
MGD accession numbers for the backcross data and for physical mapping data are MGD-CREX-385 and MGD-PMEX-8 respectively. Tbp and D17Ph4e were proposed by the authors to be prime candidates for Hst1 based on their expression in the testes and complete linkage with Hst1. Authors use D17Leh119, this locus symbol has been split into two symbols D17Leh119I and D17Leh119II.
  • Experiment
Physical mapping of Hst1 was initiated in a parallel study (Trachtulec, Z. Genomics, 23:132-137, 1994; MGD-JNUM_20141). In the present study, YAC-related fragments encoding D17Ph1, D17Ph2, D17Ph4e and D17Ph5e, and PCR products for Tbp (Gtf2d), D17ZT6 andD17Zt7 were compared to determine the order of loci in the Hst1 region. Further, Tbp and D17Ph4e were proposed by the authors to be prime candidate genes for Hst1 based on their expression in testes and complete linkage with Hst1. The order of loci were reported as: D17Ph2 - D17Ph5e - D17Mit78 - D17Zt6 - 0.29cM - Hst1 - D17Ph4e - Tbp - 0.15 cM - D17Ph1.
