  Authors hybridized a Msdh cDNA to a filter containing YAC clones from a mouse genomic library. Four YACs that contained D11Mit65 gave positive signals with the Mdsh cDNA probe, indicating the presence of at least part of the Mdsh gene in these clones. The size of the smallest hybridizing YAC places the Mdsh gene within 240kb from D11Mit65.
