• Experiment
  A search for mouse mutants in the Arix region produced the neurological mutant shaker-1 (Myo7a). Southern blots of DNAs for two albino deletions that also include the Myo7a^sh1 locus exhibited the wildtype pattern of Phox2a hybridization (data not shown). These results exclude Phox2a from these deletions and demonstrate that Phox2a maps distal to Myo7a^sh1 on mouse Chromosome 7.
