Notes
  • Reference
Authors use G9 and G7b for locus symbols Bat7 and D17H6S56E-2 respectively. G7a/Bat6/G7 is represented by symbol D17H6S56E.
  • Experiment
The screening of a cosmid library from C57BL/Rij resulted in the isolation of overlapping cosmids within the H2 region of mouse Chromosome 17. These overlapping clones enabled the physical order of loci within the Hsp70 cluster as follows: Neu1 - Hspa1b - Hspa1a - Hspa1l - Lsm2 - Vars2. As estimated from text fig. 1 this genomic distance includes approximately 90kb of DNA. Additional analysis of a number of mouse strains with recombinant H2 haplotypes provided information that the mouse Orch1 locus is confined to a 60kb region including the genes Hspa1b - Hspa1a - Hspa1l - Lsm2 - Vars2.
