  Southern analysis using cDNA fragments from U2af1-rs1 and Cct4 was used to show that genes U2af1-rs1 and Cct4 hybridize to the same 680kb YAC 11/SP2#8. Further analysis of NotI restricted digests of YAC 11/SP2#8 and NIH 3T3 DNA indicated genes U2af1-rs1 and Cct4 are separated by a physical distance of approximately 300kb.
