    Irradiated embryonic stem cells derived from mouse strain 129ccb were fused to recipient A23 thymidine kinase-deficient hamster fibroblast cells to produce whole- genome radiation hybrids. One hundred sixty-four independent hybrid cell lines were tested for the rentention of mouse markers in the region of Tk1 by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods. Two independent PCR's determined the presence or absence of each marker in a hybrid cell line. The following order/distances for loci on mouse Chromosome 11 was reported: D11Mit10 - 26.2 cR - D11Mit201 - 21.2 cR - Gh - 20.0 cR - Prkcc - 13.5 cR - D11Mit50 - 8.8 cR - D11Mit181 - 35.3 cR - D11Mit202 - 38.4 cR - D11Mit11 - 28.0 cR - Sox9 - 3.6 cR - D11Mit291 - 18.6 cR - D11Mit42 - 32.4 cR - D11Mit101 - 66.9 cR - D11Mit167 - 82.6 cR - D11Mit102 - D11Mit48 - D11Mit49 - Tk1 - 16.34 cR - P4hb.
