Notes
  • Experiment
Ninety four backcross progeny of a (C57BL/6J x M. spretus)F1 x C57BL/6J cross were mapped for the following loci: D6Mit86, Pon1 - 1.06 +/- 1.058 - Pon2 - 2.128 +/- 1.486 - D6Mit1. An overall order, incorporating data from the Mouse Genome Database (MGD) was reported as follows: Hc6 - Fdpsl10 - D6Mit86 - Sig - Ica1 - Pon1 - Mop1 - Pon2 - D6Mit1 - Col1a2 - Tac1 - Calcr. These genes were said to cover an approximated 5 cM region of the Chromosome. A note added to the paper proof indicates that Pon3, mapped using the same backcross mice, also localized to mouse Chromosome 6 and no recombination between Pon1 and Pon3 was observed. Mop1 was shown mapping with markers more distal then these reported here( J:17972 Berrettini WH, Nat Genet 1994 May;7(1):54-8 )
