Notes
  • Experiment
In a previous publication this group used in situ hybridization to map ferritin loci onto Chromosomes 19, 3 and 6 (see J11041 Yachov, A.K. et al., 1991, Genomics 9:204-206). In this paper the authors mapped Fth to Chromosome 19 and suggested that two Fth pseudogenes, Fth-ps1 and Fth-ps2, mapped to Chromosomes 3 and 6 respectively. A third pseudogene, Fth-ps3 also resides on Chromosome 6, probably in tandem with another pseudogene, but its exact location was not determined.
