Notes
  • Experiment
Genomic clones were isolated from a region of mouse Chromosome 12 that was deleted by the lgl transgene insertion. These genomic clones were used to isolate YAC clones which were found to contain CpG islands. Various subclones from the YACs were then used to screen a mouse cDNA library resulting in the isolation of Sp4. The isolated Sp4 cDNA clone hybridized to several DNA segments from wild type chromosomal DNA and these segments were not seen in the deleted lgl/lgl DNA demonstrating that Sp4 maps to the lgl disrupted region.
