    A loss of heterozygocity has often been found to accompany inactivation of tumor suppressor genes. To that end, authors analyzed the loss of somatic cell heterozygocity in chemically induced tumor tissue using simple sequence length polymorphism (SSLP) analysis to localize suppressor gene candidates. Frequent allelic losses were associated with markers on mouse Chromosome 2. Tsp3, a 3 cM region D2Mit147 and D2Mit148 was indicated as a potential site of a tumor suppressor gene.
