    A loss of heterozygocity has often been found to accompanyy inactivation of tumor suppressor genes. To that end, authors analyzed the loss of somatic cell heterozygocity in chemically induced tumor tissue using simple sequence length polymorphism (SSLP) analysis to localize suppressor gene candidates. Frequent allelic losses were associated with markers on mouse Chromosome 12. ON mouse Chromosome 12, a ~2 cM region (Tsp7) between markers D12Mit263 and D12Nds2 was indicated to be the likely location of a tumor suppressor locus invloved in lymphogenesis.
