  In an interspecific backcross using Mus spretus and Mus domesticus the microclones D7Smh53 and D7Smh59 were mapped to mouse Chromosome 7. D7Smh53 mapped Myo7a at a distance 6 cMs from Tyr, with D7Smh59 mapping approximately 1 cM distal of D7Smh53.
