ltnr2 resistance/susceptibility
D11Nds9 PCR amplified length variant
Notes
  • Experiment
The lentinan resistant phenotype (in which mice show no acute phase protein increase in response to lentinan) was determined to be a recessive trait in high-responder SWR/J and low-responder SRP/J mice. Twenty four N2 progeny of a (SWR/J xSPR/J)F1 x SWR/J cross were randomlly selected for typing 80 chromosome-specific microsatellite loci for PCR methods. Linkage analysis between each microsatellite locus and lentinan resistant phenotype presented chromosomal segments meeting the authors criteria for significant evidence of linkage to the delayed type of acute phase protein response (DT-APR). ltnr2 was closely linked to D11Nds9 on mouse Chromosome 11.
