  A backcross - intercross breeding system was established to develop congenic strain D2.B6-Fv2^r. After the fourth and fifth backcross generation the segregation of Fv2 and Bgl-s was determined. There were 18 recombinants observed between Fv2 and Bgl-s out of 386 mice tested, providing a recombination distance of 6.8 cM between the two loci on Chromosome 9.
