Notes
  • Reference
Authors use Saa4 and Saa5 for Saa-ps and Saa4 respectively.
  • Experiment
Combinations of interlocus PCR primers were used to generate overlapping long-range PCR products to produce a complete map of the Saa genes on mouse Chromosome 7. The order of genes in the linkage group was reported to be 3' - Saa2 - 5'/5' - Saa1 - 3'/5' - Saa-ps - 3'/5' - Saa4 - 3'/5' - Saa3 - 3'. Authors indicate an Saa1 - Saa-ps intragenic distance of approximately 5.1kb. A distance of 9.3 - 9.4kb was reported to separate transcriptional start sites of the mouse Saa1 and Saa2 genes. The five mouse genes are within 45kb of each other.
