    Authors use Thy19.4, Tla, Tpx-1, Hmt and R4B2 for locus symbols H2-M2, H2-T, Tpx1 and H2-M3 respectively.
  • Experiment
    The C3H recombinant strains R1, R4-e, and R4-1 were used to map H2-M3. The RI strain carries the H-2 and Qa2 region of the CAS3 strain and the H2-T region, H2-Q1, H2-M3 alleles and the Tpx1 locus of the C3H strain, placing H2-M3 distal to Qa2 (now subdivided into three loci; H2-Q7, H2-Q8, H2-Q9) on mouse Chromosome 17. The R4-e and R4-1 strains carry the alleles for H-2, Qa2 region, H2-T region, and H2-Q1 from the C3H host strain and the H2-M3 allele from the CAS3 donor strain, implyimg that the H2-M3 allele is distal to H2-Q1. Strain R4-1 has an additional recombination breakpoint between H2-M3 and Crisp2, placing H2-M3 between H2-Q1 and Crisp2.
