  • Experiment
    Utilizing a combination of cDNA/PCR marker localization, sequencing and YAC complementation strategies, the region containing the beige mutation was characterized. A series of overlapping YACs was isolated. One of these YACs (195.A8) was shown to encompass the following loci within its 700kb length (in order) on mouse Chromosome 13: D13Uth1 - Nid - Lystbg - D13Uth6e - D13Uth7e - D13Uth8e - D13Uth9e - D13Uth5.
