Notes
  • Experiment
QTL analysis of 192 (BALB/c x Ccs-19)F2 mice revealed a new colon tumor susceptibility locus, Scc5, tightly linked to D18Mit57 on mouse Chromosome 18 (P = 0.25). Authors note that Scc4 and Scc5 have no apparent individual effect, but that they show a strong reciprocal interaction (P = 0.0064).

Authors suggest Tgfb2, Msh2, Apc and Grl1 as possible candidate genes for Scc2, Scc3, Scc4 and Scc5 respectively.
