Notes
  • Experiment
Lung tissue of N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea treated F2 progeny of an (OcB-9/Dem x O20/A)F1 intercross was microscopically analyzed for the presence and size of tumors. The progeny were genotyped by PCR. Statistical analysis indicated the presence of a locus influencing susceptibility to lung cancer (Sluc3) on mouse Chromosome 6. The QTL likelihood plot indicates a peak between D2Mit36 and D6Mit218, proximal to the Kras2 locus. The following order of loci was reported: D6Mit21 - D6Mit36 - Sluc3 - D6Mit218 - D6mMit52 - Kras.
