Notes
  • Reference
    Author uses G7b for D17H6S56E-2, G7a/Bat6 and G7 for D17H6S56E and G7e for D17Nki7.
  • Experiment
G7e probe 1, containing sequences located between Vars2 and Lsm2 (in a region containing numerous repetitive sequences) was found to hybridize to a single 6.5kb band of EcoRI-digested mouse liver DNA. Direct sequencing of a cDNA isolated from this regionindicated the presence of a novel gene D17Nki7. The following gene order was presented by the authors: 5'/3' Lsm2 - ~10kb - 3'/5' D17Nki7 - ~0.9kb - 5'/3' Vars2. By direct sequencing, the distance between Vars2 and Lsm2 was shown to be 15kb.
