    The marker maps experimentally derived in this paper were overlapped with published maps for a number of QTL regions associated with plasma total cholesterol (Chromosomes 1, 5, 6, 7, 12, 15 ,18), plasma HDL cholesterol (Chromosomes 1, 5, 7, 17), plasma LDL/VLDL cholesterol (Chromosomes 9, 12, 13, 15), plasma triglyceride (Chromosomes 5, 7), gallstones (Chromosome 2), and obesity (Chromosomes 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, 15). Authors use Lipc, Brn3.1, Ghrhrr, Gad-1ps, Otf11, Sel1, Tcfcoup2, Crfr, Brn5.0, G6pd, Otf9, Igl1, Pgs1, Lgals1 and Lgals2 for locus symbols Hpl, Pou4f3, Ghrhr, Gad1-ps, Pou2f3, DSell, Aporp1, Crhr, Pou6f1, G6pdx, Pou3f4, Igl-5, Ptgs1, Lgals4 and Lgals6 respectively.
