  Authors used PCR to amplify the exon/intron junctions of Commd1 intron containing U2af1-rs1. Restriction and Southern blot analysis confirmed that U2af1-rs1 is contained within a Commd1 intron on mouse Chromosome 11 and indicated that the two genes are transcribed in opposite directions.
