Notes
  • Experiment
Authors identified a putative exon in P1-7 which is located within a P1 contig that includes the markers D6Mit70 and D6Mit128. Sequence comparison analysis identified this exon as belonging to Rtkn, Southern analysis was then done by hybridizing P1-7 anda Rtkn cDNA probe to NsiI digested 129/SvJ genomic DNA. P1-7 and the Rtkn cDNA probe gave the same hybridizing fragments, confirming that the entire Rtkn gene is located on the P1 clone, P1-7. These results physically mapped Rtkn to mouse Chromosome 6 inthe following gene order: D6Mit70 - D6Mm1 - Rtkn - D6Mm2 - D6Mit128.
