  Melody was mutation found in an ENU mutagenesis screen wherein mutants did not respond to a clickbox test. Melody was genetically mapped to mouse Chromosome 8 within a 6 Mb region flanked by rs32804682 and rs37373014. This region included Casp3 which was determined to be the causitive locus for the Melody mutation involving exon 6.
