Notes
  • Experiment
Authors use the diiferences in protein function and expression levels of Scarb1 between C57Bl/6, CAST, NZB, SM, NZO and SJL to conclude that Scarb1 is a likely candidate for Hdlq1 in mouse Chromosome 5.

In addition Hdlq1 was confirmed as distinct from Hdlq8 using the NZB X NZW intercross. The peak of Hdlq8 was refined using SNP rs3668084 to a position of 116 Mb (LOD 12.7) at approximately 60 cM within a 95% confidence range of 107 to 117 Mb. Acads , a marker within this range was suggested as the gene underlying the Hdlq8 phenotype
