Notes
  • Experiment
Linkage analysis was performed on 137 female (129S6/SvEvTac-Apoetm4Mae x D2.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc/J)F2 intercross mice using 170 SNP markers to identify QTL associated with total plasma cholesterol level.

QTL Pcho5 maps to 28-75 Mb (17-45 cM) on Chromosome 9 with a peak LOD score of 5.1 at 58 Mb (35 cM) in linkage with total plasma cholesterol level. 129S6/SvEvTac-Apoe alleles confer increased total plasma cholesterol level.
