    Linkage analysis was performed on 64 BXD RI strains (n = 528) to identify QTL associated with X-zone width in males.

    QTL Mxwdq2 maps to 36.5 - 39.5 Mb on Chromosome 14 with a peak LOD score of 2.936 in linkage with male X-zone width. C57BL/6J alleles increase X-zone width at the Mxwdq2 locus.
