Linkage analysis was performed on 228 female (C.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc x SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc)F2 intercross mice using 144 SNP markers to identify QTL associated with fasting plasma blood glucose level on a Western diet.

QTL Bglu16 is suggestive with a peak LOD score of 3.12 and maps to 0 - 10.37 cM on Chromosome 9 in linkage with plasma blood glucose level. C.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher plasma blood glucose levels on Western diet with an additive mode of inheritance.

QTL Bglu17 maps to 16.37 - 40.37 cM on Chromosome 9 with a peak LOD score of 5.4 at 26.37 cM in linkage with plasma blood glucose level. B6.129P2-Apoetm1Unc/J alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher plasma blood glucose levels on Western diet with an additive mode of inheritance.

QTL Hdlcl3 maps to 77.57 - 89.67 cM on Chromosome 7 with a peak LOD score of 3.658 at 85.57 cM in linkage with HDL cholesterol level. SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher HDL cholesterol levels on Western diet with an additive mode of inheritance.

QTL Nhdlq15 maps to 22.73 - 40.73 cM on Chromosome 2 with a peak LOD score of 4.79 at 31.80 cM in linkage with non-HDL cholesterol level. C.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher non-HDL cholesterol levels on Western diet with a dominant mode of inheritance.

QTL Nhdlq16 maps to 35.43 - 46.66 cM on Chromosome 16 with a peak LOD score of 3.99 at 46.66 cM in linkage with non-HDL cholesterol level. SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher non-HDL cholesterol levels on Western diet with a dominant mode of inheritance.

QTL Hdlq103 maps to 87.52 - 97.02 cM on Chromosome 1 with a peak LOD score of 8.64 at 93.52 cM in linkage with HDL cholesterol level. SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher HDL cholesterol levels on Chow diet with an additive mode of inheritance.

QTL Hdlq104 maps to 16.37 - 32.37 cM on Chromosome 9 with a peak LOD score of 4.614 at 30.37 cM in linkage with HDL cholesterol level. SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher HDL cholesterol levels on Chow diet with an additive mode of inheritance.

QTL Hdlq105 maps to 83.52 - 93.52 cM on Chromosome 1 with a peak LOD score of 13.944 at 87.52 cM in linkage with HDL cholesterol level. SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher HDL cholesterol levels on Western diet with an additive mode of inheritance.

QTL Hdlq106 maps to 24.37 - 30.53 cM on Chromosome 9 with a peak LOD score of 10.625 at 30.42 cM in linkage with HDL cholesterol level. SM.129P2(B6)-Apoetm1Unc alleles confer increased susceptibility to higher HDL cholesterol levels on Western diet with an additive mode of inheritance.
