    Nfkbid (MGI:3041243) is one of the most polymorphic genes within the Tpgi1 QTL region and sits between the genetic markers that flank the highest imputed LOD score. The authors explore Nfkbid at length and find strong support for its role in Toxoplasma gondii immunity.
