Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit prenatal and neonatal lethality, dilated cardiacmyopathy, and hypoplastic tongue and intercostal muscles. Mice heterozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit altered cardiac signaling, increased heart rate and increased systemic arterial systolic blood pressure.
